I enjoyed your recent article in PLoS about finding medical information using search engines. I thought I would share two specific gems I have found. If I use Google, I can add the term "pdf" to a search query. This tends to select journal articles and high quality non-journal articles from the internet. Of course, Google Scholar allows this option. By adding "ppt" to a search query, I can pull down slide sets from graduate school programs. For example, if I search Google with "aripiprazole D1 D2 receptors ppt", I am likely to find PowerPoint presentations from Neurochemistry graduate courses that detail receptor affinities for antipsychotics, and which contain the most recent antipsychotic, aripiprazole.
