Scanning EM micrograph of a Caenorhabditis elegans wild-type adult. Research reported by Brock et al. It describes a novel nuclear hormone receptor that regulates transcription of fatty acid desaturase genes in C. elegans. This regulation is necessary to maintain optimal membrane fatty acid composition.
