The number of synonymous (SYN) and neutral nonsynonymous (NEU) and deleterious (DEL) SNPs per kb of coding sequence (A) and the ratio of deleterious to synonymous or neutral nonsynonymous SNPs (B) as a function of the local recombination rate. The rate of neutral and deleterious SNPs was normalized by the number of sites that were testable by the likelihood ratio test. Lines show the results of logistic regression.
