Bars show the UPS group (A) and cys/PoLV group (B) composition of each of the three recovered communities. HVRs 1 and 6–8 show one community each in which a vast majority of UPS A sequences are found. HVR 6 shows one community in which a vast majority of group 1, 2, and 3 sequences are found, which are all characterized by having only two cysteines in HVRs 5 and 6.
