Biology and computation: Hard to synchronize

The present topic is an interesting one w.r.t. changing trend towards inter-disciplinary science, however, most biologists find it rather difficult to go along computer and physical science(s). Learning computational biology during graduate studies (PhD) under enormous pressure of experimental work is, in fact, very difficult. Accessing online web applications/tutorials may help to some extent, but this stands nowhere with the present 'customized' and 'computationally intensive' requirements in modern science. In my opinion, a full fledged 'pre-PhD' training in computational biology is the key here. Better to have it than making mess during PhD!
