Need for comprehensive test suites in computational neuroscience...

On the issue of comprehensive test suites: this seems to be a more general issue around standardisation in Neuroscience, in that even on the experimental side there does not appear to be focused effort to establish a systematic characterisation of brain cells, networks etc.. I believe this is one of the key reasons for a skeptical view of computational work by the experimental community - in general - rather than as a complementary tool. If I am incorrect I would love references otherwise. Great article, thank you!
